flowers in shoreditch
morning light awakens the streets,
chattering, sharing, moving, loving.
a sea of souls,
none different, none the same.
in the gardens,
awash in colour,
the flowers greet the streets,
leaning over walls
to see who’s passing.
I walk with my sleeves rolled up,
and the sun kisses my arm,
greeting the flowers.
